 Mission

The MFEC fosters an inclusive and welcoming environment for all McLean High School families. We support multilingual families by improving access to communication and resources, and we serve as a trusted hub where families can receive and exchange information that strengthens our community. Our work builds a strong sense of belonging so every family feels valued, connected, and at home in the MHS community.

 Who We Are

The MFEC is a collaborative PTSA committee representing McLean’s diverse families and languages. We operate with shared leadership and welcome new volunteers throughout the year.

Cultural and Language‑Specific Liaison Contacts

Families who prefer to communicate in a language other than English may request support from MFEC liaisons who speak:

• Chinese (Mandarin)

• Korean

• Japanese

• Spanish

• Indian languages (Hindi or other languages depending on liaison availability)

• Provide culturally accessible updates and summaries of key school information

• Maintain MFEC content on the PTSA website

• Share important announcements through multilingual communication channels

• Welcome new families and help them navigate school resources

• Offer informal engagement opportunities such as coffee chats and multicultural gatherings

• Support families with questions about school services, academic resources, and community opportunities
